The Friends Book Shop — located in the lobby of the Longmont Public Library — now has a Featured Book Shelf, filled with special priced books. Look for the Featured Book Shelf signs at the Book Shop.

Prospector is Here!
Prospector is an online catalog that lists all the items owned by 42 academic, public and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. Through Prospector you have access to 30 million books, DVDs, CDs, government documents and other materials. With a single search you can identify and borrow materials from any of the 42 libraries’ collections and have them delivered here to the Longmont Library for you to check out.
Is there something you want that we either do not own or all our copies are out? It’s easy:
- Select the Prospector tab from the library catalog click here
- Search for your item and when you find it, click the “Request It” button
- Select Longmont as your library.
- Type in your Longmont Library card number handy and there you go!
- The Library will notify you when the item is here for you to pick up

Asteroids and Comets Make an IMPACT at Longmont Public Library
If you have not yet explored the Asteroids and Comets hands-on, mini-science exhibit at the Longmont Public Library, then rocked down here quickly — this display will be blasting off to a new site at the end of May! This NASA and NSF-funded display is located inside the west entrance to the Library. Be sure to play the “Death by Asteroid: What Are the Odds?” game. It certainly puts things in perspective.
